Starting Over

Over the years, I've made several attempts at keeping a blog going. There's a lot I want to say and I tend to have strong opinions, but... It seems that between working stupid, stressful hours trying to keep the wolf at bay and spending time reading what other people have to say and digging around to find out what is really happening, that I have little left in reserve to pen the great political essay.

But what keeps tearing at my guts is the knowledge that for the American people to take back our country, the American people have to first, be able to see and understand what is happening and who is doing what. That's a tough one. The Obama administration and the Democrat Congress are slinging new programs around faster that anyone can possibly follow. Like a magician working closeup sleight of hand, they keep things moving at blinding speed. Trying to dig in to every issue and root out the truth seems like mission impossible, not only because of the number of issues and the speed with which they change the focus, but because of the abject failure of the fourth estate to fulfill its duties.

What I will try to do here is to keep track of some of the issues that seem major to me, direct you to other discussions and sources of information that illuminate those issues, and provide such commentary and analysis as I am able.

That's all. Not much. By the way, welcome aboard.

Dave,

I appreciate the difficulty in keeping up a blog in the midst of a job, family life, and other stresses (believe me, I really do). But if you no longer have a need for the blog at http://speakingtechnically.blogspot.com would you consider deleting it so someone else can use the name? I hope you don't take offense at my asking. It is just that a lot of the best blog names are taken up by blogs that are now defunct.
